WAF Security Engineer(RARR Job 5275)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WAF Security Engineer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies with a strong background in application security, secure SDLC, and DevSecOps practices. This role involves managing WAF configurations, implementing protection policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust application defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions (e.g., Akamai, F5, AWS WAF, Imperva).

• Monitor and fine-tune WAF rules to minimize false positives and enhance protection.

• Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and implement mitigations.

• Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure secure deployment practices.

• Integrate WAF policies into CI/CD pipelines and secure SDLC workflows.

• Manage version control, quality control, and release processes related to security enforcement.

• Support Agile development teams with security reviews and compliance needs.

• Be available occasionally for weekend deployments or emergency support.
