Storage Engineer(RARR Job 2503)

Must Have Skills:

•Excellent Linux and Windows OS skills related to File system calls, kernel space, user space. 

•File system developer with proficiency in Shell scripting

•Knowledge of object storage and able to correlate with latest cloud object storage in GCP, Azure. 

•Hands on Cloud experience in either of Azure, AWS or GCP environment. 

•Competent with Shell/Bash scripting

•Knowledge of performance analysis of storage solutions and how it relates to the hosts, network, application stack. 

•Excellent documentation skills in creating test procedures, workflows, diagrams and customer facing white papers.

•Experience in Dev/Ops deployment pipeline.

•Excellent troubleshooting skills on enterprise storage solutions

Good to have Skills:

•Experience with virtualization and container platforms (Docker, VMWare, KVM, Kubernetes, etc)

•Able to automate storage performance test by using opensource tools and scripting. 

•Familiarity with any of the enterprise storage filesystems like ZFS or GPFS or OneFS or other file system internals. Preferaably ZFS

•Design, Develop, Deploy, Configure and Test the NAS (CIFS/NFS) storage in On-Prem or on cloud with good understanding of SAMBA/SMB/CIFS and NFS protocol.

•I/O Workload and performance analysis on enterprise storage systems.

•Good knowledge on key storage features like snapshot, replication, deduplication, compression, storage tiering etc.

•Working experience on any of the Storage performance simulator tools like FIO, Vdbench, IOzone, IOmeter.

•Infrastructure knowledge as code platforms (Terraform, SaltStack)

•Familiarity with infrastructure automation and monitoring tools.

•Python Scripting knowledge
