SAP BODS Developer(RARR Job 5122)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SAP BODS Developer to design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS).

The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts, SAP functional consultants, and data architects to manage data integration, transformation, and migration activities across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data integration solutions using SAP Data Services (BODS) to meet client requirements

• Develop and maintain ETL jobs and data flows using SAP BODS.

• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

• Design and implement data cleansing and enrichment processes using BODS data quality transforms.

• Collaborate with SAP teams for data migration during implementations or upgrades.

• Work on performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for data flows and ETL processes.

• Participate in unit testing, system testing, and UAT phases.

• Monitor job executions, troubleshoot failures, and provide resolution.

• Support data governance, compliance, and audit activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services).

• Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data profiling, and data cleansing.

• Experience working with SQL / PL-SQL for querying and data transformation.

• Familiarity with SAP systems (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW).

• Basic understanding of Material, Customer, Vendor, Finance Master data domains.

• Experience with data migration projects (e.g., legacy to SAP).

• Knowledge of data quality transforms, lookup tables, and workflows in BODS.

• Experience with job scheduling tools and BODS Management Console.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with SAP HANA, IDOCs, LSMW, Winshuttle or SLT.

• Knowledge of control tables and parameterized jobs in BODS.

• Experience with version control and DevOps pipelines (Git, Jenkins).

• Basic understanding of data warehousing and BI tools (e.g., SAP BO, Power BI).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices

 

Certifications (Optional but Preferred): • SAP Certified Application Associate – Data Integration with SAP Data Services
