Performance Tester (Load Runner)(RARR Job 5174)

We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester with 5–6 years of hands-on experience in LoadRunner to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in performance testing lifecycle, script development, execution, analysis, and tuning recommendations. You will work closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure system reliability and scalability under load.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis).

• Design and implement performance test plans, scenarios, and strategies based on business and technical requirements.

• Conduct load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability testing on various application layers (web, API, DB, etc.).

• Monitor and analyze system performance using LoadRunner and other tools (e.g., SiteScope, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar).

• Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with developers and system admins to resolve issues.

• Generate detailed performance test reports and provide tuning recommendations.

• Participate in performance engineering and capacity planning discussions.

• Maintain test data, environments, and test results repository.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–6 years of experience in performance testing, with a focus on Micro Focus LoadRunner.

• Strong hands-on experience in scripting using VuGen (Web HTTP/HTML, Web Services, TruClient).

• Solid understanding of performance testing types and best practices.

• Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or New Relic is a plus.

• Good understanding of application architecture (web/app/db layers) and infrastructure.

• Experience in analyzing system logs and identifying root causes of performance issues.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in CI/CD integration for performance testing (e.g., Jenkins).

• Exposure to cloud-based performance testing environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).

• Familiarity with other performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.

• ISTQB or similar testing certifications are an advantage.
