AutomationJob Description
- Design and develop automated test scripts using Ruby programming language, Cucumber-Watir (library) framework.
- Write test cases in Gherkin syntax using Given-When-Then steps, which are easily understandable by both technical and non-technical team members.
- Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to focus on defining application behavior rather than just tests.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify and report defects.
- Integrate Cucumber with other tools like Selenium for cross-browser compatibility testing.
- Utilize version control systems (like GitLab) for managing test scripts and collaborating with team members.
- Use project management and bug tracking tools (such as Jira) to manage test cases and report issues.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Bridge communication between different teams, including business analysts, software engineers, testers, and developers.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests into the development process.
- Execute SQL queries for database testing and data validation
- Perform API testing using Postman and integrate API tests into the automation framework.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure application scalability and responsiveness.
