Production L2 Support Engineer (LT)(RARR Job 4593)

• We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist with a strong background in API integration, data analytics, business intelligence, BI reporting and web applications The ideal candidate will also have handson experience with AWS services particularly Redshift and Database Migration Service DMS This role involves providing technical support troubleshooting and ensuring the smooth operation of various applications within our organization
• Extensive knowledge extends to Java J2EE JSF IBM EGL Spring Boot Microservices Angular JS and MuleSoft Any Point Platformbased web applications You are also open to working in shifts and providing oncall support including weekends for product releases and youre able to adhere to assigned schedules
• The primary duty involves promptly addressing and resolving issues reported by clients in various webbased applications These applications support the Canadian Mutual Fund Transfer Agency system which oversees fund products and daily investments
• Strong problemsolving skills are essential to swiftly analyze logs and available data identifying the root cause of issues
• Proficiency in managing relational database systems like IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server is required
• Familiarity with IBM WebSphere application server is a plus Effective communication skills are needed to collaborate with multiple internal teams and serve as the main point of contact for various clients and end users ensuring the quick resolution of problems
• The ability to support User Acceptance Testing UAT and production implementations or installations by validating applications is expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expertlevel support for web applications ensuring high availability and performance
• Manage and troubleshoot APIs ensuring seamless integration and functionality
• Generate analyze and interpret data analytics and BI reports to support business decisions
• Support AWS Redshift databases and perform data migration using AWS DMS
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionalities and provide support accordingly
• Monitor application performance and implement necessary improvements
• Identify diagnose and resolve application issues in a timely manner
• Maintain documentation related to application configurations processes and procedures
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments
• Provide training and support to endusers as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of APIs and experience in API integration
• Proficiency in data analytics and experience with BI reporting tools
• Experience with web applications and related technologies HTML CSS JavaScript etc
• Handson experience with AWS services particularly Redshift and DMS
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL is required Practical experience in providing support for web applications based on Java J2EE JSF IBM EGL Spring Boot Microservices Angular JS and MuleSoft Any point Platform is essential
• Familiarity with SQL and database management
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional AWS services eg S3 EC2 Lambda
• Knowledge of scripting languages eg Python Shell scripting
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practice
