 Database administration tasks include ensuring database availability, monitoring, maintenance and operations.

 

•Perform day to day Oracle  administration tasks and perform troubleshooting on the databases

•Good knowledge of Oracle architecture.

•Flexible for Prod Operations 24*7 Support- Multiple DB Technologies
•Good knowledge on  Frontline Support, CMD Engagement, System Availability, System Metrics Analysis, Alert Monitoring, Issue Detection and Triage

•Fixing Issues and finding RCA
•DB Alerts and Dashboards Monitoring and Alerts reduction.

•Good knowledge of Golden Gate/Shareplex replication.

•Should be good in documenting the issues.

•Good Experience with  DB Monitoring Tools like OEM, Apex, NewRelic etc.

•Working Knowledge in AWS/Cloud environments.

•Designing, developing and maintaining applications and databases by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements and developing software systems.

•Experience in debugging and optimization.
• Good communication, documentation and presentation skills.

•In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

 

Skills:

 •-;7 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration with 24x7 Operations support

•Oracle 10g/11g/12c/19c

•Cloud experience on AWS 

•Perform day-2-day admin activities

•Writing monitoring jobs and managing it

•DB monitoring tools, OEM, New Relic, Oracle Apex

•Working knowledge on Oracle 11g R2/12c/19c

•AWS Certified/Working knowledge in AWS/Cloud environment

 

Job Description

 

Will be working on

 Database administration tasks include ensuring database availability and performance tuning, DB deployments, Quarterly maintenance and Upgrade operations, backup and recovery operations.

 •Perform day to day Cassandra database administration tasks and troubleshooting the DB issues

•Build Cassandra Cluster with multiple nodes and Upgrade Cassandra

•Cassandra Data Model and Keyspace management

•Cassandra security with SSL across Cluster nodes

•Define and establish best practices with Cassandra including configuration, DB monitoring and backups of the cluster.

•Design, configure and maintain an Apache Cassandra cluster, including Datastax Enterprise Graph.

•Analyze data access patterns and identify hotspots and bottlenecks.

•Design and review data models and help developers plan high performing queries.

•Manage storage capacity of the cluster and help plan for growth based on future project goals.

•Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues as needed.

•Working knowledge on Cassandra, AWS, PostgreSQL

•Experience with data migration and data loads, Oracle to Cassandra

•Good knowledge of Cassandra architecture.

•Should be good in documenting the issues.

•Working Knowledge in AWS/Cloud environments
