AWS Cloud Security Developer(RARR Job 5277)

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated AWS Cloud Security Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cloud security, particularly in AWS, and will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud solutions in alignment with organizational policies. This role demands initiative, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure robust cloud security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development of security rules, configurations, automation (e.g., API integrations), and recommend improvements for cloud security tools focused on AWS.

• Ensure ownership and delivery of security outcomes for AWS environments in line with management directions and client security policies.

• Review and escalate requests for exceptions to mandatory security controls, driving consistency across cloud platforms.

• Participate in architecture and design reviews, ensuring cloud services are deployed securely and meet policy requirements.

• Conduct manual and automated security assessments of cloud environments.

• Collaborate with vendors, client staff, and contractors to implement and integrate cloud security solutions.

• Work closely with cloud engineers, architects, and stakeholders to align with best practices and client controls.

• Maintain and review AWS-specific Cloud Security Baseline documentation to ensure relevance and accuracy.

• Drive continuous improvement in security practices and automation for high-quality, predictable outcomes.

• Support incident response processes, including post-incident analysis and reporting.

• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to enhance cloud security awareness and posture.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Expert-level hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Security.

• Strong programming/scripting knowledge: GitHub, Visual Studio, Python, Bash, PowerShell, SQL.

• Proficiency with data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV.

• Familiarity with cloud security platforms/tools (e.g., Jupiter One).

• Strong customer and stakeholder focus with a collaborative mindset.

• High sense of urgency, personal integrity, and ownership.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.

• Strong communication skills—able to convey complex technical concepts to varied audiences effectively.
