AWS Cloud Security Consultant(RARR Job 5278)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage security rules, configurations, and automation (e.g., API integrations) to optimize the effectiveness and usability of AWS native cloud security tools.

• Take end-to-end ownership of security outcomes on AWS and management direction.

• Review, challenge, and escalate exemption or exception requests to mandatory cloud security requirements from business and functional units.

• Actively participate in cloud architecture, deployment pattern reviews, and ensure services are aligned with mandatory security controls.

• Oversee and conduct cloud security assessments through both manual reviews and automated tools.

• Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and contractors for the implementation and integration of cloud security solutions.

• Work closely with cloud platform engineers, architects, and stakeholders to enforce and promote best practices aligned with the client's mandatory controls.

• Review and update AWS-specific sections of the client's Cloud Security Baseline documentation for relevance and accuracy.

• Drive continuous improvements in cloud security automation to ensure consistent, high-quality, and compliant configurations.

• Support incident management processes, including post-incident reviews and detailed reporting.

• Monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities to identify and mitigate risks proactively.

Mandatory Skills

• Cloud Security – AWS Native Security

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS security services and tools (e.g., IAM, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config).

• In-depth understanding of cloud architecture, cloud-native services, and security best practices in AWS.
