Job Description

Main Objective of the Position / Role

Lead the implementation of HR roadmap and change management initiatives to support profitability & growth of the plant. Provide high level of HR business partnering support for plant level business continuity and growth. Lead the building of plant level organization in coordination with the corporate leadership team, capable to execute the current & future business plan. Actively participating and leading the organization culture transformation initiatives as defined by the organization.

Key Primary Responsibilities

Manpower Management

  • Prepare / update plant level organisation structures based on the inputs from Corp HR and senior leadership team (SLT).
  • Ensure the availability of skilled and talented Manpower in the plant as per Plan.
  • Handling permanent and contract worker including (NEEM/NAPS/TET & others) issues.
  • Coach and guide plant level functional managers on workforce deployment and workforce upskilling topics.

Recruitment & Selection

  • Leading hiring function at plant level for filling the vacant (replacement / new) positions with support from Corp HR T.A Team.
  • Execute effective Induction/onboarding program (777) of all new joinees as per Onboarding policy and checklist.
  • Deliver induction training and core values to all new employees for easy and comfortable entry into the organization.
  • To help and support team to fulfil all the documentation pertaining to new recruitments in line with Recruitment Policies.
  • Implement and lead the development of effective deployment of policies in coordination with Corp HR.

PMS System

  • Execute and drive the PMS Process in plant, bi-annually and annually as per PMS guidelines driven through Corp HR Team.
  • Review the KRA of all employees with Functional Heads and Plant Manager. List down the Gaps and Prepare the Action Plan with functional Heads and plant head.
  • Monitoring and evaluating employee competency and performance gaps in order to find out training needs and set plans and goals to increase performance.

Training & Development

  • Lead Learning and development function at the plant level, list down the TNI of employees with Functional Heads as per competency / PMS assessment and ensure to share the same to Corp L & D team.
  • Review Annual and Monthly training Plan and ensure it is being prepared and executed and ensure all training records are maintained as per IATF standard and VSA requirement.
  • Guide Dojo In charge for proper set up of DOJO center, Its functioning as per DOJO training plan in line with MSIL guidelines.
  • Ensure TNI, Annual and Monthly calendar of existing workers is being prepared in line with Corp L & D Team, Monitor and review its execution as per training procedure.
  • Ensure availability of skilled manpower on shopfloor as per defined skill criteria.

Compliances & Liaison

  • Handle and execute all statutory compliances of plant as per government regulatory standards related to Factory Act, Labour Act, Pollution Control Board, CGWA, Fire Deptt, and ensure the maintaining of records (Renewal/amendment of Factory license/Pollution control, Contractor license).
  • Liaison with Government Bodies / Local Bodies / Gram Panchayat / Distt. Administration / Police / Labour Deptt. / EPFO / ESIC etc.
  • Coordination for Legal Court Cases in Industrial Tribunals / Distt. Court etc.
  • Compliances of contracts w.r.t contractor workers, NEEM / NAPS.

Payroll / Time office Management

  • Complete Setting up of Time Office Management System in the plant (attendance Punching machine, all registers pertaining to time office management, attendance, leave and other, Payroll software) in line with Policies.
  • Ensure updated Contract worker Master data is maintained by time office in CLMS /HRMS portal all time and Contractual worker’s wages are processed through CLMS also for control.
  • Ensure disbursement of Timely contractor wage bills with proper wages working sheet and ensuring all compliances (ECR-PF, ESIC, LWF, Bank Statement, GST) are along with contractor bills.

Employee Engagement

  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda with focus on engagement & welfare activities as per Engagement calendar.
  • Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop and maintain effective relationships and encourage retention.
  • Coach and counsel managers and supervisors in the plant regarding employee relations issues in order to enable them to address employee issues at the floor level.
  • Conduct Employee Satisfaction and Employee Engagement Survey in line with corp HR Team – Prepare Feedback with Action plan.

Grievance Management

  • Managing the relationship between employees and dealing with any minor disputes and disagreements.
  • Handle grievances as per grievance management policy to reach an amicable resolution.

Audits

  • Execute all audits from HR standpoint with proper closure of NC’S and Observations if any successfully. Like: (IATF, EHS (ISO 14001-2015 / ISO 45001-2018 / VSA/MACE / Internal and other audits.

Costing / Budget

  • Prepare annual Manpower & admin budget in line with the Corp HR guidelines.
  • Review, monitor and control all manpower cost as per budget. Identify Gaps and prepare action plan.

Administration / IR

  • Adherence of service provider contracts & renewal of the contracts as & when required.
  • Maintain the Food Quality and proper Arrangement in Canteen.
  • Maintain Proper Housekeeping in plant and Offices.
  • Advising and consulting with management during unprotected industrial action (strikes, protest action- if any) in line with relevant policies and legislative provisions.

Other/ MIS

  • Conducting all staff Exit interviews, analysis of feedback and action plan to be prepared with the concerned HOD’S and share the analysis with Corp HR team.
  • Digitalization of all HR process at plant level which includes the implementation of HRMS Software.
  • MIS Reporting with Analysis & Action Plan to be done such as workers absenteeism, worker attrition, staff attrition, training mandays (Staff and Worker), Down time, Admin cost Bud vs Act, 5’S Progress, R & R , Grievances report staff and worker, canteen committee feedback, productivity report , workers cost vs Budget tracking.
