Senior/Chief Researcher(NCS/Job/ 1867)

· Learn about the existing products and technologies in the Energy systems area and map it with business/technical needs of customer. This may include meeting/training with business divisions (both domestic and overseas).

· As a Senior/Chief Researcher, the candidate is expected to pursue good technology proposals patiently, persistently, and proactively to business division to impart competitive advantages to the existing and future product/solution development.

· Knowledgeable about technical and market trends, domain knowledge in both Electrical (Energy Systems) and Digital (Software - Algorithm development in AI/ML to model or estimate energy related phenomenon) with proficiency in scientific/simulation-based development environment.

· Flexible to learn about the existing products, technologies, simulation tools. This may include meeting/training with business divisions (both domestic and overseas.

· The attitude of self-motivation and leadership is necessary for a continued success in his/her career as a researcher.

Qualifications:

Essential

· Master’s degree in electrical engineering - Power Systems or Power Electronics related area with good foundation of modern energy systems and optimization.

· Proficiency in working/supervision development in Simulation software and coding in MATLAB, SIMULINK.

· Working experience with python to implement AI/ML based prototypes for energy systems – e.g. cyber-physical data driven models, forecasting etc.

· Fair understanding of optimization algorithms (operation research taken as elective or used in project work) that can be applied to energy systems both from planning and operation perspective.

· Good communication, reporting, presentation and cross-cultural skills for collaboration with business groups and global network of the company

Desirable

· PhD in Electrical Engineering

· Research/Technical Papers published in abovementioned areas.

· Full-time working experience that includes responsibility in R&D centre with Digital solutions for Energy systems. Understanding of End-to-end product or solution development is preferred.

· Proficiency and experience in using python-based optimization/AI libraries to solve for energy system challenges.
