Job Description
Job Title: Senior Application Engineer (HCL Lotus Notes)
High-Level Scope: Maintenance & administration of HCL Lotus Notes
Technology Stack: HCL Lotus Notes
Experience Required: 3 – 4 Years
Responsibilities:

Corrective & Preventive Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting Lotus Notes applications, including server-side errors, client-side errors, mail flow issues, and replication problems.
- Identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures to ensure stable and smooth operation of Lotus Notes applications.
- Provide minor enhancements and bug fixes to improve functionality or performance based on user feedback or business needs.

Application Support:
- Provide L2/L3 support to business users for Notes-based workflows, databases, and mail configurations.
- Manage user access controls, including database-level permissions and group membership configurations.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as archiving, indexing, compacting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality.

Platform & Configuration Management:
- Apply configuration changes to Lotus Notes applications to support evolving business requirements or to comply with IT policy updates.
- Monitor and maintain integrations between Lotus Notes and other enterprise platforms such as SAP, SharePoint, and email gateways.
- Support the rollout of approved configuration changes, ensuring controlled deployment with minimal disruption.

Monitoring & Reporting:
- Proactively monitor server health, performance, and resource utilization to detect and resolve any potential bottlenecks or failures.
- Generate audit and compliance reports as needed to ensure adherence to operational and security policies.

Knowledge & Documentation Management:
- Maintain and update the knowledge base, SOPs, and documentation for all Lotus Notes applications and related processes under support.
- Ensure all troubleshooting and support procedures are clearly documented for internal teams and end-users.
