Snowflake role:

Job summary:

· Seeking an experienced Snowflake Expert to lead design, development and deployment of cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake on AWS and/or GCP.

· Strong SQL and data modeling expertise, and knowledge on cloud architecture and security best practices.

· Should drive platform automation, infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines on AWS and GCP.

· Should have basic knowledge on Bigdata Cluster and operations

· Proficient in manipulating data across diverse datasets and technologies.

· Experienced in working on medium to large enterprise projects, preferably in financial services

· Willingness to experiment and learn new approaches and technology applications

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead end-to-end design and delivery of modern cloud data platforms using snowflake on AWS and/or GCP.

· Design, implement, and optimize Snowflake data models, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions (UDFs) and materialized views.

· Build scalable, automated ETL pipelines using Snowflake using orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt etc.

· Develop and maintain real-time ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, kafka integrations and other 3rd party connectors (e.g. Matillion, Fivetran etc.)

· Integrate snowflake with external services (S3, GCS, APIs, Lambda/Cloud functions) for dynamic data processing.

· Manage role-based access control (RBAC), object-level privileges and data masking/policies using Snowflake’s native security features.

· Design and enforce resource governance policies, monitor credit usage, and recommend cost optimizations across warehouses.

· Implement and maintain multi-cluster warehouse configurations, auto-suspend, and auto-resume strategies.

· Configure and monitor data sharing, replication, and failover strategies across environments (Prod/Non-prod/Regions)

· Integrate Snowflake deployment into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Bit bucket, GitLab CI etc.)

· Set up monitoring and observability with Snowflake Query history, Information Schema or external tools.

Skills Required:

· Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including enterprise-level architecture and operations.

· Deep understanding of Snowflake internals: virtual warehouses, caching, metadata services, clustering keys, result sets.

· Strong SQL development skills and knowledge of data modeling best practices (star/snowflake schema).

· Experience with AWS (S3, Glue, IAM, Lambda) and GCP (GCS, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) integrations.

· Experience in migrating legacy Data platform (Teradata, Oracle etc.) to Snowflake.

· Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data catalog and data lineage.

· Proficient in scripting or programming language like Python, shell.

· Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
