- Responsible for material procurement as per internal requirements and India sourcing projects for the global Hitachi group when needed. ▪
- Ensuring the purchase of materials with quality, just-in-time delivery, and cost efficiency. ▪
- Assisting in executing overall procurement operations, including sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and payment processes. ▪
- Supporting supplier/vendor management and new supplier development. ▪ Assisting in material inventory management.
- Sourcing •
- Identify and source materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers while ensuring compliance with required specifications and quality standards. •
- Manage inquiries for new direct and indirect materials as required. Contracting •
- Support price negotiations, incoterms, payment terms, and supplier contracts to optimize cost savings and mitigate risks. Purchasing • Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules. •
- Coordinate material delivery as per the required schedule. •
- Basic knowledge of GST, custom clearance, and other taxation requirements to ensure smooth delivery and payment processes in coordination with relevant departments such as planning, production, and finance. Maintenance and improvement of supply chain •
- Monitor and review the supply status of procurement partners. •
- Assist in resolving cost, quality, and delivery issues and contribute to continuous supply chain improvements. New supplier development •
- Support material localization initiatives by identifying new domestic suppliers for imported materials. •
- Conduct cost analysis, maintain cost-reduction initiatives, and manage supplier comparisons. •
- Work with cross-functional teams (CFT) to ensure timely delivery of localizedcontent for prototype, pilot, and production phases. •
- Ensure quality compliance of localized materials in collaboration withrelevant teams. Meeting social requests such as laws, CSR, SDGs from procurement perspective •
- Ensure procurement activities align with laws, CSR commitments, and sustainability (SDGs) by consulting with supervisors.
