Job Description

Key Account Manager (KAM) Responsibilities & Skills

1. Communication

  • KAM needs to convey complex situations in a simple and clear manner for better client understanding.

2. Relationship Building

  • Strengthen relationships with clients for long-term association by following strategic account management principles.

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure consistency in response and resolution to maintain high customer satisfaction.

4. Planning

  • Plan and forecast according to client requirements to meet demand efficiently.

5. Data Analysis and Interpretation

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data to gain insights into client behavior, market trends, and sales performance.

6. Technical Support

  • Assist clients with technical support whenever required.

7. Inter-Department Coordination

  • Adopt a collaborative approach to fast-track processes and achieve the best outcomes.

8. Industry Knowledge

  • Having industry knowledge is beneficial as it helps in understanding client queries and providing instant solutions.

9. Operations Management

  • Resolve escalations related to inward, outbound, or inventory concerns as needed.

10. Market Research and Competitive Analysis

  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor strategies to provide valuable insights to clients and position company offerings effectively.

11. Up-Selling & Cross-Selling

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, confidently pitch products, and close deals to maximize revenue and meet expectations.
