Mainframe CICS/MQ/Connect Direct System Programmer(NCS/Job/ 1470)

1. Required Skill set

• Strong knowledge of CICS TS, CICSplex and CICS Transaction Gateway
• Experience working with: Cobol / Assembler, VSAM, JCL, CA-Top Secret / RACF
• Knowledge in Assembler, COBOL
• Hands on knowledge on products like CAFC, File Manager, Fault Analyzer, z/OS Debugger, Sysview, BMS/TS CICS, Assist/TS CICS, CA Verify
• Knowledge on CICS Webservices and RDO/s
• Basic z/OS System Programming knowledge
• Dump analysis skills using IPCS and Fault Analyzer
• Working knowledge of MQDB2/Adabas/

Key Activities Performed

• Install, Upgrade, Maintain and customise CICS Transaction Server
• Install, Upgrade and Apply maintenance and PTF’s for products like CTG, CAFC, File Manager, File Manager, Fault Analyzer, z/OS Debugger, Sysview, Enterprise COBOL , BMS/TS CICS, Assist/TS CICS, CA Verify
• Update and maintain 240+ Amfam customised COBOL/Assembler programs.
• Rolling out RSU Maintenance and PTF’s for CICS and other CICS related ISV products.
• Assist development requests - Install new CICS components, update current CICS Web Services
• Regenerating of webservices bind files and WSDL
• Generation of copybooks and wsbind files
• Perform RDO
• SYSVIEW Configuration: Review and modify system parameters and resource threshold
• CICS region creation
• Decommission tasks: CICS regions ISV products
• Format and analyse CICS system dumps using IPCS
• sProactively monitor CICS and related software and to take action to prevent potential issues and to maximise performance..
