Design Engineer(NCS/Job/ 1768)

About the role

As a Design Engineer, you will be required to interact with the project team to understand the application and design a test fixture which optimally fulfills the requirement.  You will be expected to create and maintain the design files and comply with the applicable QMS procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop jigs and fixtures (Manual & Automated)
• Selection of off the shelf BOM items such as Pneumatic components, Motors, Sensors, etc.
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team for development of machined parts
• Attend project meetings and design reviews to ensure clear requirements and alignment
• Maintain design documents as per defined procedure and comply with all other Quality Management System requirements

Must have experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Mechanical Design, with at least 1 year in designing automated fixtures
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical concepts such as Friction, Force, Torque, Material properties, Speed, etc.
• Hands-on experience of SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD
• Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent discipline
