As a Safety Engineer (EHS) for Solar Projects, your primary responsibility is to ensure the health, safety,and environmental compliance of solar energy projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, providing training to project personnel, and ensuring adherence to relevant safety regulations and standards. Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and contractors involved in solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement Safety Programs:
- Create and implement comprehensive safety programs specific to solar energy projects.
- Develop safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of safety programs to address changing project needs and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct Risk Assessments:
- Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments for various project activities.
- Analyze risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize or eliminate hazards.
- Collaborate with project teams to incorporate safety measures into project planning and execution.
3. Provide Safety Training:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to project personnel, including employees and contractors.
- Conduct safety orientations for new hires and ensure that all personnel receive appropriate safety training.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
4. Monitor Compliance:
- Regularly inspect project sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures to avoid
- recurrence.
5. Maintain Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and documentation of safety-related activities.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by local, state, and federal agencies.
- Provide regular safety reports to project management and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven 3+ experience as a safety engineer or EHS specialist, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Has worked in UAE – Abu Dhabi projects & Trakhees certification
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety
- Technician (OHST) are a plus
