Job Description

Job Summary:

The Functional Consultant for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (FandO) is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, and implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 FandO to meet organizational needs. This role involves working closely with vendor and internal teams to ensure the successful deployment and optimization of the Dynamics 365 FandO module. The role is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of Dynamics 365 FandO solutions to meet business needs.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Analysis and Requirement Gathering:

    • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and requirements.
    • Gather and document functional requirements through discussion with stakeholders
    • Translate business needs into functional specifications and system designs.

Solution Design and Implementation:

    • Design and configure Dynamics 365 FandO solutions to meet Groups requirements.
    • Customize and extend the Dynamics 365 FandO application using out-of-the-box features and custom development.
    • Develop and manage project plans, ensuring timely delivery and quality of deliverables.

System Configuration and Testing:

    • Configure Dynamics 365 FandO modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Cost Accounting.
    • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the solution meets functional and performance requirements.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues or defects identified.

Training and Support:

    • Provide training to end-users and key stakeholders on Dynamics 365 FandO functionalities.
    • Create user manuals, training materials, and documentation.
    • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users post-implementation.

Project Management and Communication:

    • Act as a liaison between business users and the technical team.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
    • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, and report project status to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Dynamics 365 FandO.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations.
    • Participate in community forums, training, and conferences to enhance professional skills.



Preferred candidate profile

Educational Background:

    • Bachelors degree in Commerce/Accounting besides any IT degree.
    • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (e.g., MB-310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant).

Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 FandO or AX in a functional consultant role.
    • Experience in full-cycle implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and training.

Technical Skills:

    • Basic understating of Accounting functions and corresponding heads for revenue and expenses.
    • Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 FandO modules and capabilities.
    • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Dynamics 365 FandO.
    • Knowledge of integration techniques and tools used with Dynamics 365 FandO.

Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Project Management Skills:

    • Experience in managing ERP implementation projects.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel as required to other international branches in the Group.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
