• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and scalable APIs utilizing Apigee. Additionally, orchestrate and enforce APIs through Apigee proxy services, policies, and security features.
• Work closely with product owners and architects to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for APIs.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code for Apigee proxies and policies.
• To ensure robust API security, utilize Apigee features like security targets, quotas, and API keys.
• Collaborate with internal teams (architects, product managers) to understand API requirements.
• Integrate APIs with backend systems and services.
• Implement API security best practices like authentication, authorization, and throttling.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and issues.
• Document APIs for developers and internal teams.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in API development and design.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and API design principles (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Familiarity with Google cloud platforms (GCP - App Engine, Compute) is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.) is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of web development technologies (HTTP, JSON, etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
