Job Summary:
The O&G SBU Head/Plant Head is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the precision machining operations within the O&G Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in precision machining, strategic planning, and operational management to drive excellence and innovation in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company's overall business objectives and long-term goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential risks to drive growth and sustainability.
- Lead the SBU in achieving financial targets, operational KPIs, and other performance metrics.
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the precision machining facility, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Ensure the facility meets all regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers, engineers, and technicians.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them achieve their professional goals.
Financial Management:
- Manage the SBU's budget, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop accurate forecasts and financial reports.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the SBU in meetings with senior management, providing insights and recommendations on business strategy and operations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering high-quality products on time.
Innovation and Technology:
- Stay abreast of technological advancements in precision machining and aerospace manufacturing.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance the SBU's capabilities and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet customer needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree in field. An MBA or advanced engineering degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 18 -25 years of experience in precision, large machining operations within the machine manufacturing, Oil & Gas machining, Nuclear & Thermal components manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role, managing large teams and complex operations.
- Strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence.
