Head Engineering(Hea Job/ 41)

 Responsibilities

In partnership with the company's founders, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services to Banks and other institutions, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.

- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and continued deployment of all web-based services. .

- Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that conforms to global Banking standards and for the company to be able achieve ISO27001 or SOC2 certification.

-Collaborate with the founders and potential customers to develop use cases (or user stories) for future deployments using blockchain based digital asset infrastructure for issuing security tokens Implementation & Deployment :

- Supervise recruitment, training, and organization of all development staff related to the technology , building a lean tech organisation structure

-Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS cloud infrastructure adhering to Provision, configure and maintainance the microservices based AWS infrastructure with a good knowledge of Info Sec/Dev Ops/CI /CD pipeline management

-Review current best practices and review the info sec, architecture and infrastructure of the platform complying with global institutional standards.

- Define, implement and monitor the company's software development methodology and applicable policies within that i.e Asset Management , incident management

-Establish and supervise a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing with applications like Sonarqube.

- Select, deploy, and monitor performance profiling tools and procedures.

- Review and optimise an application deployment process and supervise deployment to staging and production servers.

- Monitor application performance and review any application failures in staging or production.

- Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization. Position Requirement :

Knowledge & Experience :

- Demonstrated ability as a Engineering Manager with a strong understanding of bank level infrastructure and security , Strong understanding of new technologies such as DLT

-Subject matter expert of AWS Cloud infrastructure

-Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application framework.

- preferably Java, Django Python

- Has worked in a financial institution , global tech companies servicing banking secort or a fintech company related to analyzing loans or credit ratings.

-Design a technology roadmap to support a 3-5 year active rollout of functionality.

-Develop and implement a lean internal staffing model.

• Develop an appropriate plan for cost- and time-effective use of outsourcing partners and internal hires.

• Define appropriate IT, data protection and security policies, and ensure full compliance with regulatory data management requirements as a B2B global marketplace
