JD of IT – Senior Network Analyst - Palo Alto
Reports to IT Manager
Responsible for smooth running of Global IT Network and Security Operations and ensures Network Infrastructure up to company IT Security Standards.
Responsibilities includes:
- Delivers L2 Level IT Services across organization through IT Service Management System via ticketing process.
- Installation and Configuration of Network/Security Devices and NMS
- Pal Alto / Panorama and SDWAN Administration and Health Monitoring
- VM Virtual Platform Deployment and Administration
- Provides support, follows through service delivery process documentation.
- escalation for service / support with third party service providers
- Monitoring and Maintain NW/Security Systems (In house / 3rd Party )
- Maintain IT NW/Security Infra (licence, software versions etc.) and ensure Service Levels.
- Health Monitoring of NW/Security Operations to keep the I.T. infrastructure up time.
- Troubleshooting NW/Security bugs/errors and diagnosing and solving issues;
- Focus on Root cause analyses and Review of continuous improvements
- Interact with IT Service Desk staff or customers through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues as assigned through IT Service Desk Ticketing System.
- Follows procedural documents and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
- Follow Change Management Practices and adhere to IT Policies.
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
- Regularly updates Service Desk Ticket progress/status includes Time Reporting.
- Continuous prioritisation and review open cases with timely escalation to management.
- Establishes good working relationship with internal customers, Vendors and other professionals.
- Part of Team for exploring testing and evaluating new technology;
- Monitor / Conducts regular safety checks.
- Network Health Check includes Switches / APs / Routers and Security Systems
- I.T. Process & IT Audit compliance
Qualifications / Experience:
- Graduate in any stream with deep Network and Security Support Knowledge
- Experience in Virtual Platform Knowledge (VMWare/HyperV)
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewall appliances, routers, Juniper/Cisco switches, and Cisco access points. IPSec and SSL VPN
- Expert in Palo Alto SDWAN technology
- Palo alto Firewall: proficiency in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Palo Also firewalls as well as utilizing to segment internal traffic or Cisco/Fortigate equivalent experience
- Palo Also Panorama expertise
- 5 - 7 years’ experience working in similar profile, preferably with Manufacturing or in MNC environment
- Palo Alto PCNSA, PCNSE or Cisco CCNP certification a plus
- Flexible in working in Rotation Shifts
- Hands on knowledge of Network/Security Device Management.
- Must have knowledge of Network/Security Deployment, Testing and Support cycles.
- Ability to adapt working style to changes as needed by IT Management.
- Good customer service skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Well versed in MS Office Environment.
- High on initiative. Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and ambiguities.
- VMWare deployment and support knowledge preferred.
