Job Description

Plant HR Head is responsible for overseeing and managing all Human Resources activities at the plant level, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, training and development, compliance, labor relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, health and safety, and administration of HR policies and practices aligned with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

    • Lead end-to-end recruitment for the plant including blue-collar and staff hiring.

    • Ensure a seamless onboarding and induction process.

  • Employee Relations & Engagement:

    • Act as a bridge between management and employees to maintain healthy industrial relations.

    • Handle employee grievances effectively and ensure timely resolution.

    • Design and implement engagement activities to boost employee morale.

  • Compliance & Statutory Requirements:

    • Ensure 100% compliance with all labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Factories Act, Contract Labor Act, etc.).

    • Maintain and audit HR records as per statutory norms.

  • Performance Management:

    • Drive the performance appraisal cycle effectively at the plant.

    • Coach managers on performance discussions and improvement plans.

  • Training & Development:

    • Identify skill gaps and organize training programs accordingly.

    • Promote a learning culture through continuous development initiatives.

  • Compensation & Benefits:

    • Support payroll inputs from the plant side.

    • Benchmark and ensure competitiveness in compensation for all levels, especially blue-collar workers.

  • HR Policies & Administration:

    • Implement company HR policies at the plant level.

    • Handle disciplinary actions in line with company policies.

  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

    • Collaborate with the EHS team to maintain a safe working environment.

    • Conduct periodic safety and wellness programs.

  • Workforce Planning & Productivity:

    • Collaborate with production and operations for workforce planning.

    • Ensure optimization of manpower cost and productivity.

  • Union/Contract Labor Management (if applicable):

    • Maintain a professional relationship with unions and contract workforce.

    • Participate in negotiations, settlements, and labor management discussions.
