Head – Quality (Alloy Casting)

Job Description:

We are looking for a senior quality leader with deep expertise in quality assurance and control in alloy casting operations. The role demands hands-on knowledge of casting processes, metallurgical testing, and defect analysis with proven leadership experience in managing large teams and customer audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions across all alloy casting operations.

• Monitor and control quality parameters for aluminum, steel, and other non-ferrous/ferrous alloy castings.

• Manage casting defect analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other customer-specific quality standards.

• Oversee metallurgical testing, NDT (UT, RT, MPI, DP), spectrometry, microstructure, and mechanical testing labs.

• Work closely with production, design, and R&D to ensure flawless casting processes.

• Handle customer complaints, audits, and approvals with OEMs and Tier-1 clients.

• Implement APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and control plans across the plant.

• Lead a culture of zero defect, continuous improvement, and shop floor quality discipline.

Key Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of foundry quality systems and standards

• Strong in casting defect prevention, metallurgy, and inspection techniques

• Exposure to automotive, rail, or aerospace quality systems

• Experience in using quality tools and casting simulation software

• Excellent communication and team management skills

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy / Mechanical Engineering
