Test Automation Expert (RARR Job 6206)

Summary

4 – 6 years of experience Test Automation expert required with expertise in designing, developing, and implementing automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and product quality.

Experience required in implementing automation scripts across integrations. Needs strong ability to use mocking or stubbing to automate initial testing of integrations until the full end to end solution is in place for testing.

Needs strong management, comms and reporting skills to manage workload and report effectively on progress throughout project lifecycle.

• Automation Framework Design Selenium with JAVA or Playwright with Typescript
• Programming Languages - Java, C# or Typescript.
• CI/CD Tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

• Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)

Responsibilities
 

 

 

• Initial analysis/review of proposed solution to select a suitable automation approach.
• Setup of the automation framework.
• Setup of needed automation tooling.
• Setup of a clear and concise reporting mechanism for the automation testing.
• Maintenance of automation tooling and framework.
• Use of Azure DevOps to record and track work on project.
• Work closely with teams to assist in requirements analysis to identify automation scenarios against integrations.
• Initial manual testing of automation scenarios.
• Use of mocking or stubbing to test developed side of integrations before full end to end solution is available.
• Creation and maintenance of automated scripts.
• Execution of scripts both Ad hoc as Required and in pipeline.
• Work with team on identified defects and their resolution.
• Support team with automated testing and defect resolution through all phases of the projects.
• Extend and update scripts as needed to run end to end automated scenarios on integrations.
• Creation and maintenance of all automation documentation (strategy, framework, tooling etc.)
• Reporting as needed to Test manager as required
• Can provide advisory work on automation process and approach
