SAP ABAP Consultant (RARR Job 6288)

Responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP–Vertex integration solutions to enable real-time tax calculation and compliance across SAP FI, SD, MM, and BRIM processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance RFC-based SAP–Vertex integrations using SAP Interface Component (SIC).
• Build and maintain outbound tax request and inbound response interfaces.
• Develop RICEF objects, custom Function Modules, ALE/IDoc, Proxy, and Web Service integrations.
• Implement enhancements using BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Frameworks.
• Perform tax data mapping between SAP and Vertex, including tax determination, jurisdiction mapping, validations, and error handling.
• Support integrations across FI (AR/AP), SD (Sales & Billing), and MM (Procurement & POs) processes.
• Conduct Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT support, and production issue resolution.
• Optimize ABAP developments using SAP performance tools such as ST05, SE30, and ATC.
• Provide ongoing support, enhancements, regulatory updates, and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Core ABAP, RICEF, OOPS ABAP, RFCs, BAPIs, and Function Modules.
• Expertise in ALE/IDoc, Proxy, and Web Service development.
• Experience with BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Frameworks.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
• Knowledge of SAP FI, SD, MM, OTC, PTP, and Vertex tax integration processes.
• Exposure to SAP DRC and e-Invoicing integrations is preferred.
