We are hiring for one of our esteemed clients, a leading organization in the steel manufacturing industry, for the position of National Sales Head.
The role is responsible for leading the national sales function for the Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes business, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and developing high-performing sales teams across India.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy to achieve business growth and profitability targets.
- Drive sales of Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes across key industry segments.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
- Manage key accounts, distributors, channel partners, OEMs, EPC contractors, and industrial clients.
- Lead and mentor regional sales teams, ensuring achievement of sales targets and business objectives.
- Develop pricing strategies, negotiate commercial terms, and oversee contract finalization.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and emerging business opportunities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, planning, and finance teams to ensure seamless order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare annual sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and business reviews.
- Drive customer engagement initiatives and strengthen the company's market position across India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Sales and Business Development within the Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes industry.
- Strong understanding of the stainless steel pipes & tubes market, applications, customer segments, and distribution channels.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and managing large national sales operations.
- Experience handling customers across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Process Industries, Power, Infrastructure, Engineering, Automotive, Food Processing, Pharma, or similar industrial segments.
- Excellent commercial negotiation, key account management, and leadership skills.
Mandatory Criteria
- Minimum 15 years of relevant sales experience.
- Mandatory experience in the Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes industry.
- Strong exposure to pan-India sales operations and business development.
- Proven experience leading large sales teams and handling key strategic accounts.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai.
