L3 Linux engineer (RARR Job 6297)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator with strong expertise in Linux operating systems, virtualization, automation, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise Linux environments while ensuring system availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Linux servers across RHEL, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), and Ubuntu environments.
• Manage and maintain virtualized infrastructure using VMware.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl to streamline operational tasks.
• Implement and support configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Administer Linux storage technologies including EXT4, XFS, NFS, and Logical Volume Management (LVM).
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, patch management, and capacity planning.
• Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Troubleshoot OS, storage, networking, and application-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to support business-critical environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
