Shopify D2C Ecommerce Platform Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Build and implement Shopify-based D2C ecommerce platforms and stores.
- Contribute to both initial platform setup and ongoing enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering).
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for global users.
- Work across multiple architecture layers to deliver seamless user experience.
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
- 9–16 years of overall software development experience.
- Strong experience with distributed systems and AWS cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in:
- Python
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- React
- GraphQL
- Experience with databases and data technologies such as:
- Neo4j
- Kafka
- MySQL
- Snowflake
- Strong understanding of:
- Microservices architecture
- REST APIs and OAuth
- Low-latency system design
- Hands-on experience in unit testing, integration testing, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong experience in Shopify development (Themes, Custom Apps, API Integrations).
- Knowledge of data modeling and schema design.
- Ability to define best practices and drive engineering excellence.
- Exposure to performance optimization and KPI-driven development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
