Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join its Manufacturing IT Applications team. This role will serve as a technical leader and hands-on contributor within a globally distributed development organization spanning the United States, Mexico, and India.
• The ideal candidate is passionate about mentoring and developing others, possesses deep expertise across modern web technologies and cloud-native development, and thrives in an agile environment. The successful candidate will provide technical direction to a Bangalore-based engineering team while collaborating closely with global architects, developers, product stakeholders, and business partners.
• This role requires a strong combination of architecture, development, problem-solving, and production support capabilities, with a focus on delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performing software solutions on AWS.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Design and oversee the overall architecture of enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with architects and global stakeholders to evaluate, design, and implement software solutions.
• Apply design patterns and software engineering best practices to build scalable and maintainable systems.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards, and team practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews and recommend improvements related to performance, security, scalability, cost optimization, and resiliency.

 

Software Development

• Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software across front-end and back-end components.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET technologies.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular and/or React.
• Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
• Write clean, testable, and reusable code following industry best practices.
• Perform debugging, code reviews, and performance optimization.

Database & Data Management

• Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance enhancements.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and reliability.

Delivery & Operations

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and design sessions.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Owners, and Infrastructure teams.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues with urgency.
• Contribute to CI/CD and release management activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, architectural diagrams, and support guides.

 

Modern Engineering Practices

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and other GenAI solutions to enhance engineering productivity.
• Implement strong automated testing practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Promote engineering excellence through continuous learning and adoption of new technologies.

 

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

 

Experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in full-stack application development.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing backend solutions using C#/.NET.
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring development teams.

 

Technical Skills

 

Strong front-end development experience using:

• Angular
• React

 

Strong backend development expertise using:

• C#
• .NET Framework / .NET Core

 

• Extensive experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • AWS Lambda
  • EC2
  • S3
  • AppSync
  • SNS
• Solid experience working with PostgreSQL and SQL optimization.
• Experience with version control systems such as:
  • GitHub
  • GitLab
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
