Job Description
Act as Architect/SME for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) and Citrix DaaS.
· Design scalable, high-availability Citrix architectures across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
· Lead architectural decisions for application virtualization, desktop virtualization, and user access models.
Virtual Desktop & Application Security
· Design secure access architectures for:
o App Virtualization
o Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
· Identify and close security control gaps in virtual apps and desktop environments.
· Ensure secure application delivery while maintaining optimal end-user experience.
Identity, Access & Zero Trust Integration
· Integrate Citrix environments with Entra ID (Azure AD) for authentication and access control.
· Design Conditional Access–aware access paths for Citrix apps and desktops.
· Enforce access to Citrix workloads only from trusted users, compliant devices, and approved locations.
· Implement secure external and partner access using modern identity controls.
Endpoint, Browser & Secure Access Integration
· Align Citrix access with managed device and browser security posture.
· Support rollouts of secure browser and app access for virtualized workloads.
· Ensure Citrix environments align with broader Intune, Entra ID, and M365 security strategies.
Cloud & Modern Workspace Evaluation
· Evaluate Windows 365 (W365) fitment and coexistence with Citrix solutions.
· Provide architectural recommendations for Citrix vs W365 vs AVD based on security, cost, and user needs.
· Support modernization initiatives for digital workspace transformation.
Governance & Best Practices
· Establish and enforce Citrix security, performance, and access best practices.
· Work with identity and security teams to align Citrix controls with enterprise Zero Trust principles.
· Provide architectural guidance, documentation, and standards.
