Business Development Manager / Institutional Partnerships Manager

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced College Partnership Manager to drive institutional collaborations with colleges and universities. The role focuses on identifying potential academic partners, pitching curriculum integration opportunities, negotiating partnership terms, and successfully executing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).

Unlike traditional admissions or student enrollment partnerships, this role is centered on building long-term institutional collaborations that integrate the organization's curriculum into college programs.


Role Overview: Institutional Partnerships & Business Development

As a BDM , you will be responsible for identifying target colleges, engaging with key academic stakeholders, presenting partnership proposals, negotiating agreements, and closing institutional collaborations. You will represent the organization before college management, placement cells, principals, deans, HODs, and other decision-makers while expanding the academic partner network.


Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

Institutional Partnership Development

  • Identify and onboard colleges and universities for long-term academic collaborations.

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand institutional partnerships.

  • Build a robust pipeline of prospective academic institutions.

MOU & Partnership Closure

  • Pitch curriculum integration opportunities to colleges.

  • Lead discussions with academic and administrative leadership.

  • Negotiate commercial and partnership terms.

  • Successfully execute MOUs and institutional partnership agreements.

Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with Principals, Directors, Deans, Placement Officers, HODs, and academic decision-makers.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for partner institutions.

  • Ensure successful onboarding and engagement of partner colleges.

Business Development

  • Generate new institutional partnership opportunities through networking and referrals.

  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and campus visits.

  • Represent the organization at academic events and institutional meetings.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal academic, operations, and leadership teams.

  • Coordinate seamless implementation of partnership agreements.

  • Ensure timely follow-up and execution of commitments.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain partnership pipelines and institutional databases.

  • Update CRM with meeting outcomes and partnership progress.

  • Prepare regular reports on partnership status, closures, and forecasts.


Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory)

  • MBA or Master's Degree preferred.

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in:

    • Institutional Sales (B2I)

    • College Partnerships

    • University Alliances

    • Academic Collaborations

    • EdTech Business Development

  • Proven experience in pitching and closing MOU/Tie-up agreements with colleges.

  • Strong exposure to higher education institutions and academic partnerships.
