Job Description

Income Tax

  • In-depth understanding of Indian Income tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities and support business objectives

  • Computation of monthly TDS/withholding Tax liabilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of TDS/withholding Tax returns, issue of TDS certificates

  • Computation and review Advance tax liability, tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, Effective Tax rate and other tax-related financial reports

  • Ensuring the books of accounts are updated and reconciled as per statutory returns

  • Assistance in annual Tax filings such as ITR, Transfer Pricing Report, Master File, CbCR etc.

  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant

  • Provide tax advice and support to internal stakeholders on various transactions and business activities

  • Coordinate and manage tax audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to tax authorities

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring robust internal controls and processes


Goods and Services Tax (GST)

  • Working knowledge of GST provision including reverse charge mechanism, IMS, E-invoicing etc.

  • Reconciliation of GST Input Tax credits with GSTR 2A/2B and following up with vendors for corrections, if any required

  • GST Documentation: Maintain, organized and keep up-to-date records of GST transaction, Invoices, and related documents

  • Preparation / review of GST returns such as GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, GSTR 6, GSTR 9/9C etc.

  • Filing of GST refunds application

  • Assistance in preparation of Tax updates for Management and Cross Functional teams

  • Assistance in filing of replies to various notices issued by the GST authorities and collation of documents as required

  • Handling/assisting GST queries, audits, and assessments


Monthly Closing and Other Task

  • Assistance in monthly financial closing and sign-off

  • Monthly Account reconciliation and monthly proofing of tax and accounts receivable balance sheet items

  • Assistance in process improvement, automation etc.

  • Should be able to manage ad-hoc requests in timely manner


Experience

  • Chartered Accountant with 7-9 years of working experience in Corporate Tax function

  • Practical experience of working in Income Tax and GST
