About the Role
We are looking for a highly creative and technically strong Sampling & Production Manager from a design background to lead and oversee all sampling and production operations across the company’s sampling units. The ideal candidate should possess strong product understanding, technical feasibility knowledge, artisan coordination capabilities, and commercial acumen in the home textile/ fashion segment.
The candidate will act as a bridge between the Design Team, artisans, and manufacturing units to ensure timely development of innovative, high-quality, and commercially feasible samples.

Key Responsibilities
Sampling & Production
- Oversee and manage all company sampling units, sampling & production activities.
- Coordinate with the Design Team to understand concepts, artwork, materials, colours, textures, and product requirements.
- Translate design concepts into actual product samples through effective execution planning.
- Work closely with artisans, karigars, vendors, and production teams for sample development.
- Ensure premium quality standards, finishing, and aesthetic execution in all samples.
Technical & Commercial Feasibility
- Analyse design feasibility for production and provide practical inputs to management.
- Decide product construction methods, materials, trims, techniques, and finishing processes.
- Estimate sample and production costing in coordination with sourcing and production teams.
- Recommend cost-effective alternatives while maintaining premium product quality.
- Share final technical and commercial feasibility opinions with department heads before production approval.
Coordination & Process Management
- Manage timelines for sampling development and ensure timely delivery of samples.
- Coordinate with sourcing, merchandising, production, and quality teams for smooth execution.
- Monitor productivity and efficiency across all sampling units.
- Maintain proper documentation of sample development, costing, approvals, and revisions.
Innovation & Trend Understanding
- Stay updated with international home textile trends, materials, techniques, and innovations.
- Contribute ideas for new developments, product enhancements, and value engineering.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong design sensibility with technical understanding of home textile manufacturing.
- Excellent knowledge of fabrics, embroidery, printing, weaving, stitching, embellishments, and finishing techniques.
- Strong coordination with vendors and artisans.
- Ability to manage multiple sampling projects simultaneously.
- Good commercial understanding and costing knowledge.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) from NID/ NIFT or other premium institutes

Experience
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in sampling, product development, or design execution within home textile or fashion, soft furnishing, or textile manufacturing companies.
