Job summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving sales activities within a designated geographical region. This role involves developing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and achieving sales targets to ensure revenue growth and market expansion. The Regional Sales Manager plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction, optimizing sales processes, and fostering a collaborative environment to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns and materials tailored to the region.

  • Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities within the assigned region.

  • Manage a pipeline of prospective clients and ensure regular follow-up and relationship-building efforts.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to adjust sales tactics and stay competitive.

  • Provide regular reports on regional sales performance, market conditions, and forecasts to upper management.

  • Track and improve the efficiency of sales operations and customer acquisition processes.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners within the region.

  • Resolve client concerns and escalate issues to senior management as needed.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty to promote repeat business and long-term partnerships.

  • Identify potential areas for cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts.

  • Foster effective communication between the regional sales team, other departments (e.g., marketing, product development, customer service), and senior management.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings as needed to build brand presence and generate new leads.

  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reporting on sales activities, pipeline, and trends.

  • Review and analyze sales data to improve regional performance and uncover new growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in engineering. MBA - Added advantage

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales, with knowledge in IOT and Digital Transformation.

  • Should be willing to travel extensively.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze data, interpret market trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (Zohocrm/Salesforce/HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
