Job Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) for its Water Treatment division. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in developing business for water treatment chemicals, wastewater treatment solutions, or specialty chemicals, particularly in the Municipal and Industrial Wastewater Treatment market.

You will be responsible for acquiring new clients, developing value-driven technical proposals, engaging stakeholders, and driving profitable growth for innovative chemical solutions used in wastewater treatment, including phosphate removal.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Engage with current & prospective customers to understand requirements and develop tailored value propositions.

  • Drive business acquisition through consultative & technical sales strategies.

  • Build and maintain relationships with environmental officials, engineering firms, and industry experts.

  • Identify business opportunities based on regulatory changes at local & regional levels.

  • Collaborate with the technical team to develop case studies, technical papers, and presentations for industry conferences.

  • Achieve business growth & profitability targets aligned with the company’s 5-year plan.

  • Work with channel partners to expand market reach and connect with indirect customers.

    Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the specialty chemicals or water treatment industry

  • Strong background in business development, technical sales, and value-based selling

  • Expertise in preparing business proposals for key decision-makers

  • High proficiency in MS Office & ability to learn internal business tools

  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills

  • Strong work ethic, multitasking ability & result-oriented mindset

  • Willingness to travel, as required
