Job Title: Trainer: Design Consultant Capability Development

experience. As we expand our design consultant base across regions and industries,
we are looking for a passionate Trainer who can design, deliver, and continuously
improve training programs to make every Design Consultant (DC) customer-ready
and performance-driven.
Role Overview
The Trainer will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging learning
experiences for Design Consultants from diverse industry backgrounds (furniture,
interior, decor, real estate, etc.). The role combines training design, content
development, and on-ground facilitation to drive measurable improvements in
conversion, communication, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Design & Development
• Build structured training modules (induction, product, sales process, and soft
skills) tailored for Design Consultants from varied industries.
• Develop digital and offline training materials decks, videos, simulations,
assessments, and case studies.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing teams to ensure training
content aligns with business objectives and on-ground realities.
2. Delivery & Facilitation
• Conduct regular classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions.
• Train DCs on Hillarys’ customer journey from enquiry to installation
emphasizing consultative selling and premium experience delivery.
• Adapt sessions dynamically for consultants with different experience levels
and learning styles.
3. Assessment & Certification
• Build evaluation frameworks to assess skill readiness and certification post-
training.
• Monitor performance data (conversion rates, customer feedback, etc.) to
identify capability gaps.
• Conduct refresher and performance-improvement training based on insights.
4. Continuous Improvement
• Create a feedback loop between on-ground DCs, training, and management
teams.
• Stay updated with design, decor, and sales training best practices to
continuously improve program quality.
• Experiment with microlearning, gamified modules, and roleplays for high
engagement.
Key Requirements
• Experience: 4–8 years in training or capability development preferably in
interior design, furniture, real estate, or retail.
• Background: Sales training / L&D professional who has handled multi-
location or on-ground teams.
• Skills Required:
o Strong facilitation and communication skills.
o Ability to simplify technical design concepts for diverse learners.
o Content creation using PowerPoint, LMS tools, or digital media.
o Analytical mindset to link training outcomes to business metrics.
• Education: Graduate / Postgraduate in Design, Business, or related field.
Preferred Attributes
• Prior experience training design or sales consultants in home interiors,
modular furniture, or similar customer-facing categories.
• Exposure to creating e-learning or blended learning programs.
• Passionate about people development, coaching, and storytelling.
