Technical Lead (RARR Job 5978)

The Technical Lead for Confluent Kafka will drive development initiatives within the Kafka pod. Serving as the senior technical authority for the team, you will bridge requirements and execution, guiding developers through complex implementations. You will enforce code-level standards and ensure that streaming pipelines are reliable, secure, and thoroughly documented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Evaluation & Collaboration: Lead the assessment of Confluent streaming requirements for new or updated stream pipelines. Partner with cross-functional teams to provide critical technical input for event streaming use cases.

• Advanced Development & Mechanisms: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex end-to-end audit and retry mechanisms within Confluent Kafka applications.

• Code-Level Governance: Ensure adherence to Schema Registry governance, schema evolution, and compatibility policies directly within the codebase.

• Documentation Ownership: Own and maintain development-focused documentation, including detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documents in Confluence.

• Upgrade & Testing Oversight: Provide senior-level guidance for planning, executing, and validating minor and major Cluster Upgrades, including rollback testing in staging environments.

• Complex Troubleshooting: Lead the resolution of technical issues and bug fixes for complex or systemic problems escalated from the development team.

• Testing Support: Oversee and support the development team’s deliverables during UT, SIT, UAT, staging, and Go-Live phases.
