Job Description

We are looking for a skilled System Engineer with strong expertise in PowerShell scripting, Active Directory (AD) management, and SQL/PostgreSQL database operations. The candidate will be responsible for automating system tasks, managing user identity, and supporting databases across both Windows and Linux environments.


Key Responsibilities

PowerShell Scripting & Automation

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for AD automation, reporting, and monitoring.

  • Automate standard administrative tasks such as user provisioning, log cleanup, and patching.

  • Manage scheduled jobs using Task Scheduler or Windows Services.

  • Implement scripts with error handling, logging, and validation checks.

  • Conduct dry runs/simulations before applying changes to production.

  • Manage user attributes and perform synchronization operations between AD and databases.

Active Directory & Identity Management

  • Administer users, groups, organizational units (OUs), and Group Policies (GPOs) in AD.

  • Maintain and enforce AD security policies and access controls.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve authentication and domain issues.

SQL & PostgreSQL Database Support

  • Write, review, and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data extraction.

  • Perform database maintenance, backups, and restores.

  • Monitor database performance and resolve operational issues.

  • Provide support for PostgreSQL setups, schema design, and migrations.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation.

  • Hands-on experience in Active Directory administration (users, groups, OUs, GPOs).

  • Proficiency in SQL databases (maintenance, queries, performance tuning).

  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL in Linux environments.

  • Familiarity with Windows Server administration and system monitoring tools.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system, identity, and database-related issues.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure AD, AWS IAM, or similar).

  • Experience with Linux system administration.

  • Familiarity with automation/orchestration tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
