Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Production Execution Consultant to support a large-scale life sciences transformation program with a strong focus on production process alignment, shop floor integration, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will have deep SAP PE expertise and the ability to bridge business and IT teams—ensuring seamless alignment with global standards and local Japanese operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing operations, SAP functional teams, and shop floor stakeholders for Production Execution and Production Planning processes.

  • Lead business process mapping and ensure alignment with global standards and SAP PE best practices tailored for Japanese operations.

  • Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and process walkthroughs with production, planning, engineering, and quality teams.

  • Translate complex manufacturing needs into clear functional specifications and guide technical and implementation teams.

  • Support system testing, UAT cycles, data validation, and cutover activities from a production operations perspective.

  • Contribute to training content, SOPs, and change management initiatives for production teams.

  • Ensure PE processes meet compliance, traceability, and GxP regulatory requirements within Japanese pharmaceutical and life sciences environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PE with PP, QM, WM/EWM, and MES systems.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance production processes and system capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP, including deep expertise in SAP Production Execution (PE) and strong familiarity with PP, QM, WM, EWM, and MES integration points.

  • Proven experience in global or regional SAP implementations, including at least two full-cycle SAP PE deployments.

  • Strong understanding of production planning, shop floor control, batch management, and manufacturing execution processes.

  • Advanced configuration skills in SAP PE, including order types, confirmations, control recipes, process instructions, and production versions.

  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex SAP concepts to business stakeholders in practical, actionable terms.

  • Understanding of GxP compliance and validation requirements within regulated environments.

  • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and English—both written and verbal.

  • Adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced project environments with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, chemicals, food, or consulting is strongly preferred.
