Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, cloud data platforms, and ETL/ELT processes, with a focus on Snowflake. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and other cloud-based data platforms.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, and stored procedures.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate data from various sources including APIs, flat files, and third-party systems.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Snowflake and related data pipelines.
- Automate data workflows and implement CI/CD practices for data engineering.
- Maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning and advanced SQL.
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Informatica).
- Experience with Azure cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data governance.
- Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core or Advanced).
- Experience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka, Spark).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to business and technical analysis, QA, and emerging technologies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
