Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to drive the successful execution of SAP IT projects for a leading life sciences company in Tokyo. This role focuses on System, Data, and Process Improvement (PI) initiatives, requiring strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Project Management: Lead the full lifecycle of IT/SAP HANA projects — planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Stakeholder Engagement: Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines while balancing diverse expectations.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with global and local teams to ensure milestones are achieved.

Risk & Progress Monitoring: Identify risks, propose solutions, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Governance & Documentation: Maintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, and adhere to PM standards.

Meeting Facilitation: Organize regular project meetings, prepare agendas, and track action items.

Reporting: Provide clear status updates to senior global program managers and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in Consulting, Change Management, or SAP ERP implementation.

3+ years in project management, ideally within IT consulting or life sciences.

Demonstrated team leadership or managing consultant experience.

Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication skills in Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) and English.

Advanced stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel (1–2 times per month for 3–4 days).

Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.

Experience in regulated industries (life sciences, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, health, food, consulting).
