The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end local data activities, ensure alignment with global standards, and maintain compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute four structured data load cycles into target systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and readiness for go-live.

  • Lead local data cleansing activities, applying business rules, transformation logic, and data preparation techniques.

  • Support data mapping, validation, and reconciliation in collaboration with global data migration teams.

  • Perform pre-load checks and post-load validation, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance.

  • Document data issues, track and resolve defects, and contribute to continuous improvement of data quality processes.

  • Collaborate closely with local business stakeholders to understand data requirements and align them with global standards and templates.

  • Participate in cutover planning and execution, ensuring data readiness for go-live.

  • Ensure all data migration activities meet Quality Management (QM) and GxP standards, adhering to Japanese pharma/life sciences regulations.

  • Act as a liaison between local business units and global data teams, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP data objects and tools such as LSMW, LTMC, or SAP Data Services (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, validation processes, and migration methodologies.

  • Experience with structured data load cycles and cutover readiness planning.

  • Familiarity with GxP, data compliance, and regulatory requirements in life sciences/pharmaceutical industries.

  • Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) and English—both written and verbal.

  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or consulting is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel based on project needs.
