SAP EWM Functional Consultant (RARR Job 5456)

Expected Scope of Work / Responsibilities:

• Act as a process expert for designing process templates in SAP projects.

• Serve as a customer-facing consultant, supporting plant users with queries and process issues.

• Conduct gap analysis and identify new business requirements.

• Collaborate with the Process Responsible team to design and implement solutions.

• Support testing phases (Unit, Integration, UAT), including defect troubleshooting.

• Assist in data migration activities (Test and Productive Migration).

• Conduct training sessions for Key Users and provide Hypercare support post go-live.

General Requirements:

• Implementation: Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP EWM implementations.

• Support: At least 2 projects involving post-go-live or full-time support.

• Rollouts: Understanding of template rollout methodologies.

• Integration: Hands-on experience with IDocs, CIF, RFC for setup and issue resolution.

• Solution Design: Ability to translate business requirements into effective EWM solutions.

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with SAP EWM 9.5 and S/4HANA Embedded EWM, with at least 1 year on S/4HANA.

• Ability to prepare Functional Specifications for EWM developments.

• Expertise in EWM-ERP integration setup and configuration.

• Hands-on with all core EWM features (as per project standards).

• Nice to Have: Knowledge of Value-Added Services (VAS) and Automated Warehouse processes.

Process Knowledge:

• Core Areas: Inbound, Outbound, Warehousing, Packaging.

  • Must be strong in at least one area, with good knowledge of the others.

  • Strong = Can list processes worked on, explain customer requirements, and link to business needs.

• Variants: Understanding of process variations for different scenarios.

• Production Integration: Good knowledge of production replenishment processes and integration features.

Industry Expertise:

• Minimum 2 years in automotive or manufacturing industry working on SAP EWM processes.

Certifications (Preferred):

• SAP EWM Certification with knowledge of:

  • Embedded EWM

  • Decentralized EWM

• Optional: SAP WM Certification

Soft Skills & Competencies:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

• Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Travel Requirements:

• Willing to travel for short-term assignments (up to 4 weeks) domestically and internationally.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
