Power BI Developer (RARR Job 5697)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Establish and manage secure connections to various data sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, REST APIs, and cloud-based platforms
• Configure and optimize gateway settings for scheduled data refreshes and real-time data access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data source connectivity and refresh failures
• Ensure data connectivity complies with organizational security and governance policies
• Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations using Power Query and other tools.
• Maintain documentation of data source configurations and connection protocols
• Create and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and dashboards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI solutions for performance and usability.
• Document BI solutions and maintain technical documentation.
• Monitor performance and reliability of data connections to ensure seamless user experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft BI Stack (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS) is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or Qlik is a plus.
