PostgreSQL Developer (RARR Job 5613)

1–4 years hands-on with PostgreSQL

Write clean SQL and small PL/pgSQL functions (procedures, triggers)

Design basic schemas, constraints, and indexes (btree; exposure to GIN/GiST a plus)

Comfortable with joins, CTEs, window functions, set operations, and advanced SQL patterns

Work with JSON/JSONB (indexes, containment queries), full-text search (nice to have)

Performance tuning: use EXPLAIN/ANALYZE, identify slow ops (sort/hash/seq scan), rewrite queries, and add the right indexes

Understand transactions, isolation levels, locking/concurrency, and error handling

Familiar with partitioning, materialized views, vacuum/autovacuum basics, and backup/restore (nice to have)

Basic Git and Linux usage; clear communication and documentation skills
