Job Description

To review, plan, and execute manufacturing activities for aerospace components and assemblies by analyzing customer documentation, drawings, and technical standards. The role ensures compliance with aerospace manufacturing requirements, while supporting design validation, tooling development, production readiness, and quality assurance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret customer-provided technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes and work instructions for aerospace & Semiconductor machine parts.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and OEM-specific standards in design and production.
  • Collaborate with design teams to review DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and propose modifications if required.
  • Define tooling, fixtures, and equipment requirements in coordination with tool room and vendors.
  • Support CNC machining process planning, cutting strategy definition, and setup optimization.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI), process validation, and ensure adherence to customer quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and suppliers to ensure smooth NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times, improve quality, and optimize cost.
  • Maintain and update all manufacturing documentation, BOMs, and process sheets as per aerospace standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, assembly).
  • Ability to interpret 2D/3D CAD models, GD&T, and customer technical documents.
  • Experience in tooling and fixture requirements for aerospace machining.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, FAI, PPAP, and OEM aerospace standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA CAM, Mastercam, or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Aerospace Engineering (Diploma with strong aerospace background can be considered).
  • 10 years of experience in aerospace & Machine parts manufacturing engineering & development.
  • Prior experience working with Aerospace OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is highly preferred.
