Java AWS Tech Lead (RARR Job 5610)

We are looking for an experienced Java + AWS Tech Lead to drive end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications. The role requires strong technical expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services, with proven experience in leading teams, solution design, and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient applications in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in building and maintaining backend systems using Core Java and Spring Boot.

• Architect and design cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.

• Guide the team in developing REST APIs, securing services, and integrating with databases and messaging systems.

• Oversee deployments on AWS using:

  • EC2 / Elastic Beanstalk

  • Lambda + API Gateway (Serverless)

  • Docker with ECS/EKS

• Drive adoption of AWS SDK for Java to interact programmatically with AWS services.

• Ensure application reliability, scalability, and security through IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch monitoring, and best practices.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals.

• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and DevOps practices for faster and reliable deployments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Core Java (OOP, exceptions, streams, concurrency).

• Hands-on with Spring Boot (REST APIs, Spring Security, Spring Data/JPA).

• Proven expertise in AWS services: IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda.

• Experience deploying Java applications on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda).

• Good knowledge of AWS SDK for Java.

• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and securing cloud workloads with CloudWatch, IAM roles, and Secrets Manager.

• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Excellent leadership skills with ability to mentor teams and lead technical discussions.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).

• Knowledge of microservices design patterns and event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline).

Education

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
