Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager – Gen AI & Machine Learning Specialist to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions. This role will be responsible for managing a team of AI professionals, driving innovation through Generative AI, and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AI/ML engineers and data scientists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Support career development and skill enhancement of team members.
2. Project & Delivery Management
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI/ML and Generative AI projects.
- Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure timely delivery within budget while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
3. AI/ML Strategy & Innovation
- Collaborate with leadership to define and execute AI/ML strategy.
- Identify high-impact use cases for Generative AI and Machine Learning.
- Drive innovation by leveraging emerging AI technologies.
4. Technical Leadership
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in AI/ML model development and deployment.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architecture guidelines.
- Review solution designs and model performance for optimization.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Engage with business stakeholders, product teams, and leadership to gather requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable AI/ML solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Talent Acquisition & Capability Building
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of AI/ML talent.
- Evaluate candidates for technical and cultural fit.
- Build a high-performing AI capability within the organization.
7. Performance Management
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Drive accountability, ownership, and high performance within the team.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Data Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams.
- Ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI solutions into production systems.
9. Ethics, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to ethical AI practices and data governance standards.
- Maintain compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
10. Continuous Learning & Thought Leadership
- Stay updated with latest advancements in AI, ML, and Generative AI.
- Promote knowledge sharing and adoption of new tools and frameworks.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Generative AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., BERT, GPT, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python or R.
- Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch.
- Strong knowledge of:
- LangChain / LangGraph / LangSmith
- LlamaIndex / LlamaCloud
- OpenAI APIs and LLM libraries
- Vector Databases (ChromaDB, FAISS, etc.)
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure / Google Cloud Platform).
- Good understanding of Azure Data Analytics services (e.g., Synapse).
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred Skills
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions.
- Strong understanding of MLOps / LLMOps / DevOps practices.
- Experience in large-scale model deployment and monitoring.
- Hands-on experience in training and fine-tuning LLMs such as:
- PaLM2, GPT-4, LLaMA, or other SLMs.
